I was born and
completed my schooling in Ukraine. I spent four years in art school, where I
studied drawing, painting, and sculpture.
Upon coming to the United States, I found little time to paint and observe the
world around me, even though it was such a fascinating new environment.
However, I recently rediscovered my love for painting and have become entranced
by the pure and clean color of paint on a white canvas.
My main goal in my art is to express life and light, working hand in hand to
create an image that captivates and pleases the viewer. Although I
paint primarily for myself, I constantly seek outside critique to better my work
and make it enjoyable for everybody.
My works are currently displayed in two galleries: The Euphemia Gallery in
East Winsor, NJ and Crafted Naturally Shop and Gallery in New Hope, PA.
Seven of my works have been accepted for Don't Hate Me Because I'm Beautiful art
show in New Jersey, organized and juried by New York's artist Liz Afif in 2010.
My "Old School, Russia" painting was selected for the front page of popular
Russian magazine History of Sankt-Peterburg.
And a lot of my works are already in good hands of people who value art.
This is really great achievement for me as I started painting again about a year
ago after a long hiatus.
