Allan Wai Shing Mak

l'm trying to achieve an oil painting look by using merely oil pastels.  My portrait paintings all reflect this quality.  And to make artworks manifest more
aesthetic content than a photo would possess, space and depth, color and enjoyment become ingredients in my  paintings.

l treat my paintings as jewelry.  All details have counted and they are important to me.  Without them, there're noting to scintillating.  Paintings are like a diamond ring, perfectly rendered, and they should emit flashes of light to viewers.
