Agathe Pepin
Being of a rather calm and stable nature, curiosity guides my artistic work. Experimentation and research go hand in hand leading me to try out several mediums. For the past 4 years, my favor has gone out to oil pastel. I'm attracted by its rich colors. These correspond to my need of expression. I also love it's ''physical'' side because I can spread it, scrape it, deposit it and even incorporate other mediums. In order to exploit different aspects of a theme, I love to linger over it a while. Nature, ancient objects having history, Canadian geese and life itself are all pretexts that give me the incentive to sit at my drawing board. Personally, my heart line is traced with pencil since drawing is so dear to me. It makes me vibrate and feel so alive.
