Carly Clements-Hardy OPS

Painting became my passion when a friend coerced me into taking a summer class in oils
that she was teaching more than 25 years ago. Since that first workshop, I've learned much from other artists
who have shared their wealth of knowledge and have encouraged me to pursue my dreams!
The landscape became my instructor while painting outdoors and workshops with internationally known artists
like Susan Sarback, Alan Flattmann, Terry Ludwig, Bob Rohm, and Elsie Dresch, opened my eyes to color, challenged
me to paint consistently, and to believe in both myself and my art.

The Oil Pastel Society has been a dream come true. From my first sketch with oilies, I was hooked and wanted to
share my enthusiasm for this medium with others.
