I have loved to paint since childhood, and have found time to pursue it since 1968. I originally studied art with various local artists, and since then have learned also on my own.

Originally an oil painter, three years ago I started working with soft pastels. During the past year I have discovered oil pastels. I participated in an oil pastel workshop with Luba Sterlikova, 
and learned about some basics of using this medium. I am excited by the simplicity of materials needed and the brilliance of the colors.

I have been fortunate to receive many first place and popular choice awards, best-in-show, and the Grumbacher Award for best use of the oils medium.
Since 1968, over 1,000 of my paintings have found homes both in the U. S. and abroad.
