About the Artist

Harold Kirby is a retired Air Force Pilot, a Retired accountant, and a painter in oil, pastels (oil and soft), and acrylics, off and on for the past 40 years. He also has done a few woodcuts. He is or has been a member of American Society of Marine Artists and is a past president of The Seacoast Artist Assoc. of NH, Durham Art Association, Great Bay Art Association and Kittery Art Association.  Harold is the product of some college art courses, workshops too numerous to count, and many years of messing about.

Harold's favorite thing is to paint plein air with his Golden Retriever.  Although relatively new to oil pastels, Harold's work shows a love of the medium, and the coastal New Hampshire area where Harold lives, is rich in art subjects.

He was the president of a Co-op Gallery but now primarily shows his artwork on the art fair circuit.
