Kent Whitaker
I became interested in art several years ago when I bought an
art book dealing with the French impressionism movement. I am self taught and
over the years have worked with oils, watercolors, and soft pastels. More
recently I have worked with oil pastels and find that I like this medium more
than any of the others. You can probably tell by looking at my work that I
have been influenced by Van Gogh's style of painting. Some of his
techniques seem to come naturally to me so I just go with it, hopefully
incorporating it into a style of my own.
