Artist Statement

Life today is so hectic, that I am always looking for opportunities where one can find a few moments to break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. With that
thought in mind, I strive to produce a painting that is inviting and peaceful; to create a place the viewer yearns to visit again and again.

Many years ago I read a quote by Jacqueline Kennedy that stated: “If you bungle raising your children, nothing else you may accomplish in life will matter;
for that is the most important job you can do.”

After that, I made a conscious decision to do the best I could and balance raising my two children along with developing myself as a professional artist. During that
time I watched as colleagues “went up the ladder of success,” while I continued to develop my artistic skills. Now my time has come. It is my wish that you, the
viewer, will find enjoyment and pleasure while viewing my artwork and I look forward to hearing your comments.
