Tatyana Chernikova

I live in Novosibirsk, Siberia, Russia.  I graduated from Novosibirsk State Art College in 2004.

Presently I study History of Art at  the Saint-Petersburg Russian Academy of Art.

Beginning from 2002, I have been the art teacher at the “Orange Sun” Art Studio for children.  I became interested in oil pastel while working with children.  What I like about oil pastel is an opportunity to express light, demonstrate transparency of shadows, and show richness and intensity of colors.

Personal exhibitions:
Aksakov library, Novosibirsk, 2002

Collective exhibitions:
“Plain-air  works” exhibition, Novosibirsk, Akademgorodok , Club “Academy”, 2003.
“Youth” exhibition,  Association of Russian Artists, Novosibirsk, 2003.
“Summer” exhibition, Association of Russian Artists, Novosibirsk, 2001.
Jubilee exhibition of Novosibirsk State Art College, Novosibirsk, 2000.

In 2002-2003, I was a recipient of the mayor of Novosibirsk’ stipend.
